Purchase fine art pieces: No traveling required

The Wilson School will hold its 29th Annual Art Exhibition and Sale on April 25, 26 and 27 at 271 Blvd., Mountain Lakes. The aim of the show is to create a Soho-like gallery atmosphere that will pique the interest of the community in fine arts, allow visitors to make purchases without having to travel to New York and provide a meaningful and instructive fine art experience for students. Their desire is to present an exhibit that opens minds to “art outside of the box.”

The featured artist will be Jinnie May, a prizewinning Morris County watercolorist. About 100 artists will be represented, exhibiting oils, acrylics, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, glassware and more. Friday evening dinner will be held in the gallery with music provided by the Ed Fleischman Trio. Reservations are required. Six artists will be offering workshops in various mediums, watercolor, photography, jewelry making, etc. on Saturday and Sunday, noon to 3 p.m. The gallery will be open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Entrance to the gallery and workshops is $5.

The Wilson School is a PK-8th grade non-profit independent school, founded in 1909 and located in Mountain Lakes. It seeks to create a welcoming family-like environment where empathy is valued and individualized learning is a priority.
