Denville

Theft, criminal mischief, disorderly, resisting arrest

On April 20 at approximately 9:45 p.m., patrol responded to the Burger King on report of an out of control male. Upon their arrival, patrol encountered Frank M. Tanzola, 49, of Wharton who was acting disorderly in the parking lot. While speaking with Tanzola, he became belligerent and began to pound his fists on the patrol vehicle. At this time, patrol attempted to arrest him for disorderly conduct and Tanzola began to resist. Officers were able to subdue and handcuff him and he was transported to police headquarters for processing. After the arrest, officers learned that Tanzola stole a steak sandwich from behind the counter at the Burger King. Once Tanzola ate the sandwich, he began to smoke a cigarette in the dining area. When staff members asked him to extinguish it, he became disorderly and started to throw items off the counter at the soda fountain. At that time, the staff contacted the police. Tanzola was charged with theft, criminal mischief, disorderly person and resisting arrest.
