Lazar classes treat local seniors to lunch

On April 2, Lazar Middle School sponsored its annual Senior Citizen Luncheon. The Life Skill, Family Science and Home Arts students in Karen Jasterzbski’s seventh-grade and eighth-grade classes worked with parent volunteers, administrators, office staff, media, music and technology specialists, teachers and custodians to assemble an afternoon of great food, fun and entertainment for senior residents of Montville This program provides students with the opportunity to apply knowledge and practical skills in a meaningful way. In addition to delicious, beautifully presented foods and desserts, the warm conversation and interaction between students and honored guests resulted in a wonderful afternoon for all.
