H.S. Wrap-Up for April 30

Boy’s Lacrosse
The Montville High School boy’s lacrosse team captured a solid win recently when they toppled Blair, 10-5. Nick Mayse and Alex Martello each netted two goals for the Mustangs, who led, 5-2, at the half. Travis Witty was the winner in net for Montville.
In other local competition, Nick Lusardi led the way with a hat trick as Morris Hills toppled Ranney, 7-6. Drew Ledet had a pair of goals for the Scarlet Knights.
Softball
Samantha Carretero and Samantha Boccolini both powered homers as Morris Hills handed Summit a 10-0 Iron Hills Conference loss. Boccolini tallied the pitching victory as well for the Scarlet Knights.
Liz Schumann and Cori-Ann Cannarella both tripled as Mountain Lakes toppled University, 10-0, in a Colonial Hills Conference contest. Tabitha Tomasella had a double in the winning effort. Nicole Donadio collected the pitching for the Lakers, who had eight runs in the fourth inning.
In a 3-0 Northern Hills Conference win against Pequannock, Noelle Sisco was the pitching winner for Montville. The Mustangs scored all three runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Sisco allowed just one hit en route to the pitching victory as Montville defeated Parsippany, 7-1. Angie Sisco had two doubles for the Mustangs, who scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Samee Wach and Diane Dearie both hit home runs as Boonton dealt University a 15-3 Colonial Hills Conference loss. The Bombers put up seven runs in the top of the third inning.
Sam Payerl smashed a double and Brianna Rossi netted the pitching win as Parsippany blanked Dover, 10-0, in IHC competition.
Maria O’Connor was the shutout pitching victor as Morris Knolls downed East Orange, 12-0, in IHC competition.
Baseball
Joe O’Connor launched a home run and Luke Mirabella roped a double as Morris Hills edged Morris Knolls, 5-4, in an IHC contest. Mirabella finished with the pitching win as well. Ryan Turso lifted a homer for the Golden Eagles.
Matt Otsky roped a triple and Jerry Elsing earned the victory on the mound as Montville topped Delrbarton, 4-1, in a Northern Hills Conference meeting. The Mustangs put up three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Dawris Gonzalez powered a home run as Dover edged Parsippany, 3-2, in IHC action. Yeison Gonzalez collected the pitching win for the Tigers.
Ryan Turso ripped a triple and Nick DeRosa posted a double to help Morris Knolls to a 13-2 IHC triumph over East Orange. Neal Casey earned the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles.
Matt Ludwig roped three triples as Mountain Lakes topped Science, 11-5, in a Colonial Hills Conference match-up. Jason Martin tallied the pitching victory for Lakes.
