Local artists create work live at unique benefit
On April 5, community members had the opportunity to watch 20 outstanding New Jersey artists in action at the Arts Council of the Morris Area's unique “April Arts” benefit. The Arts Council of the Morris Area hosted this event at the elegant Washington Office Center in Morristown. At the reception, guests had the opportunity to meet, talk with, and watch gifted artists complete original works which were then auctioned, with the proceeds going to support the many programs and services provided by the Arts Council. After the auction, guests and artists attended dinners in the gracious homes of selected hosts and hostesses in the area.
Working in diverse styles, participating artists included: Jamie Allen, Suzie Bethke, Maria de Mos, Mark de Mos, Susan Donnell, Peggy Dressel, Pam Gosner, Annette Adrian Hanna, Joan Hierholzer, Chris Kappmeier, Neil Marrero, Linda Kohl-Orton, Elissa Prystauk, Gil Riou, Debbie Seymour, Ed Sprafkin, David Thompson, Mary Ann Viola, Ruth Wilson and Fran Wood.
